MaestrPlay privacy policy
Effective 13 October 2026
MaestrPlay is a guitar practice app built around Mai, an AI practice coach. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. MaestrPlay is made by BurgundySoft and published on the App Store by Alvin Joseph Dagdagan Arzadon (“we”, “us”).
Information we collect
- Account information
- Your email address, the display name you choose, and your password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form; we cannot read them.
- What you tell Mai
- The messages you send in conversations with Mai and the replies she gives.
- Your learning profile
- Your instrument, skill level, goals, preferences, and notes Mai keeps so she can remember you between sessions — for example what you are working on and how recent practice has felt.
- Practice activity
- Practice sessions, streaks, skill progress, badges, and your reminder time.
- Push notification token
- If you allow notifications, a token that lets us send practice reminders to your device.
- Usage data
- Events such as starting a session, sending a message, or extending a streak, together with basic device information (device model, operating system version, app version). These are tied to a scrambled (hashed) version of your account ID rather than your email or name.
- Crash and error reports
- Technical details of crashes and errors, tied to the same hashed ID. Your email address is removed from these reports.
Microphone and audio
MaestrPlay asks for microphone access once, during setup, to show a sound-level meter. The sound is measured on your device only. Audio never leaves your device: we do not upload it, and we cannot access it.
If a future version processes audio in any other way, we will update this policy and ask for your consent in the app first.
How we use information
- To run the app: sign you in, save your progress, and send the reminders you ask for.
- To generate Mai’s replies and tailor her coaching to you.
- To understand how the app is used and to find and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, show you advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
AI processing
Mai’s replies are generated by AI. When you send a message, that message, relevant earlier conversation, and your learning profile are sent to Dawn, an AI gateway we operate, which passes them to a third-party AI model provider to produce the reply. We send this content only to generate Mai’s responses and to keep her memory of you up to date.
Mai is a practice coach, not a person, and her replies can be wrong. Please do not share information in conversations that you would not want processed this way.

Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. To delete your account and the information associated with it, email support@burgundysoft.io from the email address on your account; we will delete it within 30 days. Analytics and crash data tied to a hashed ID may remain in aggregated form that no longer identifies you.

Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are kept in your device’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
