MaestrPlayiPhone beta · January 2027

For people who keep meaning to get back to guitar

Mai remembers where you left off.

MaestrPlay is a guitar practice companion for people who have picked it up before and put it down. Mai keeps track of what you can play, what you’re working on and what you told her last time, so every session starts from where you actually are.

The waitlist form opens shortly.

Until then, email hello@burgundysoft.io and we’ll add you by hand.

Maiexample conversation

Welcome back. On Thursday you said the change from G to C kept catching on your ring finger. Start there, or warm up first?

Start there. I've only got ten minutes.

Ten is plenty. Two minutes of slow G to C changes, then the strumming pattern from Sunday's song. You're closer than it feels.

Most people don’t quit guitar for lack of discipline. They quit because nobody notices.

She remembers

Your chords, your goals, the song you want to play, the change you told her keeps tripping you up. Every session starts with all of it, not with lesson one.

A session sized for today

Mai builds 5 to 15 minutes of practice around where you are: a warm-up, the skill you're on, then a piece of a real song.

One step at a time

She won't push barre chords before you're comfortable with open chords, and she steps back when you tell her something isn't landing.

Someone notices

Skip a day and Mai notices. Come back after a week and she eases you back in instead of making you start over.

The beta

The iPhone beta opens in January 2027 and is free while it runs. A few people from the waitlist get in earlier, and their feedback shapes how Mai teaches. Android follows later.
